Four days in Dubai on the lowest budget the city allows - Burj Khalifa At The Top, a desert safari, Dubai Museum and a guided souk tour included. This is a no-frills package and says so plainly. The room is a standard Ibis Budget room, transfers are shared, and breakfast is not included. What it does include is the set of things that are genuinely expensive to buy individually in Dubai: At The Top at Level 124, a shared desert safari with dinner, Dubai Museum entry, and a guided tour of the Gold and Spice Souks. Those four bookings are most of what a first-time visitor actually wants, and bought at the gate they would cost a large share of this package's price. The saving is in the accommodation, not in what you get to see. Dubai supports this kind of trip better than its reputation suggests. The metro is inexpensive and reaches Downtown, Deira and the airport; the public beaches are free, and the package includes a guide to which ones and how to reach them; and Karama, Deira and Al Rigga serve very good food for a fraction of Marina prices. It suits backpackers, solo travellers and anyone whose budget is fixed and who would rather spend it on the city than the hotel. Travel between June and September and the same money goes considerably further.
