Where to go

Places every Georgia trip should include

Most trips start in Tbilisi and fan out by day trip: the mountains to the north, wine to the east, the coast to the west.

  • The brick domes of the Abanotubani sulphur baths in Tbilisi, with Narikala Fortress on the hill above

    Tbilisi

Carved wooden balconies, the domed sulphur baths of Abanotubani and the cable car up to Narikala Fortress. Halal restaurants cluster near the old town mosque.

  • The snow-dusted Chaukhi massif above the Juta valley in autumn

    Kazbegi and Juta

About three hours north on the Georgian Military Road: Gergeti Trinity Church below Mount Kazbek, and an easy summer walk under the Chaukhi peaks at Juta.

  • The mosaic arch of the Friendship Monument above the snow at Gudauri

    Gudauri

Georgia's main ski resort, on the road to Kazbegi, with snow from December to March. In summer it is paragliding and the Friendship Monument's view over the valley.

  • Vineyards at Shakriani in Kakheti under a red sunset sky

    Kakheti

The wine country, two hours east of Tbilisi: family wineries that still ferment in clay qvevri, and the walled hill town of Sighnaghi. The harvest runs in September and October.

  • The Borjomi cable car passing through pine forest

    Borjomi

A spa town in a wooded gorge, known for its mineral water: springs in the central park, a cable car over the forest, and cooler air in summer.

  • Batumi harbour and the seafront lit up at dusk

    Batumi

The Black Sea resort, with a seafront boulevard, the botanical garden and a beach season from June to September. Air Arabia flies there from Sharjah in summer.

How long to spend in Georgia

Georgia is small: a week covers it properly, and a long weekend is enough for Tbilisi and the mountains. Tell us your dates and we plan the route, hotels and transfers.

Before you fly

Visa, insurance and flights

Entry rules for Georgia changed in 2026. We check them for every traveller on the booking.

  • Visa

Many UAE residents enter visa-free on a qualifying residence permit. Others need the Georgian e-visa, which usually takes about five working days. We check your passport and permit, and apply when you need one.

  • Insurance

Since 1 January 2026 every visitor must hold health and accident insurance for the whole stay, with cover of at least GEL 30,000. Visa-free entry does not exempt you.

  • Flights

flydubai flies nonstop from Dubai to Tbilisi and Air Arabia from Sharjah, in about three hours fifteen minutes. We can quote flights with any package, or book it land-only.

Georgia packages from Dubai: common questions

  • How much is a Georgia tour package from Dubai?

Our Georgia packages start at AED 2,999 per person (Georgia for UAE National Day, 6 days) and go up to AED 4,799 (Georgia Cultural Heritage Tour, 7 days). Prices are per person sharing a room, and each package lists what it covers; flights from the UAE are quoted on top unless it includes them. Planning it yourself, our Georgia trip guide puts a 5-day trip at roughly AED 2,200 to 3,800 per person, flights included.

  • Do UAE residents need a visa for Georgia?

It depends on your residence permit and passport. Many UAE residents enter visa-free for up to 90 days on a qualifying residence permit; everyone else applies for the Georgian e-visa online, which usually takes about five working days. Since 1 January 2026 every visitor also needs health and accident insurance with at least GEL 30,000 of cover, visa-free or not. We check both for each traveller, and apply for the e-visa when you need it.

  • How long is the flight from Dubai to Georgia?

About three hours fifteen minutes nonstop to Tbilisi: flydubai flies from Dubai and Air Arabia from Sharjah. In summer, roughly July to September, Air Arabia also flies from Sharjah to Batumi on the Black Sea.

  • How many days do you need in Georgia?

Five to seven days covers Tbilisi, Kazbegi and Kakheti without rushing; add two days for Batumi. A long weekend of three or four nights is enough for Tbilisi and a day trip to Gudauri and Kazbegi. Our packages run 6 to 7 days.

  • When is the best time to visit Georgia from the UAE?

Late April to June and September to mid-October, when Tbilisi is mild and the mountain roads are open; the Kakheti grape harvest falls in September and October. December to March brings snow and skiing at Gudauri. July and August are hot in Tbilisi but suit Batumi's beaches and the cooler mountains.

  • Can I combine Georgia with Armenia or Azerbaijan?

Yes. Yerevan is about five to six hours from Tbilisi by road, so Georgia and Armenia fit into one week, and Baku is about an hour from Tbilisi by air. Tell us the countries and dates, and we plan the route, transfers and visas together.

  • Is halal food easy to find in Georgia?

In Tbilisi, yes: halal restaurants cluster around the old town and the Jumah Mosque, beside the sulphur baths. Georgian cooking often uses pork and wine, so ask before you order elsewhere, especially outside the cities. Tell us when you book and we arrange halal meals where a package includes them.

  • Can I pay for a Georgia package in instalments?

Yes, like any booking with Holidayys. Tabby and Tamara split any amount, with no minimum. Bookings of AED 1,000 or more can also go on a 0% interest credit card plan from Emirates NBD, Liv, Mashreq, ADCB, HSBC and RAKBANK. The interest is 0%, though some banks charge a one-time processing fee; the amounts are on the instalments page.
