Since 1 January 2026 Georgia has required every tourist to hold health and accident insurance covering at least 30,000 GEL for the whole stay, arrival and departure days included, presentable in Georgian or English on paper or on a phone. It is a legal entry condition rather than a recommendation, and it is new enough that most travel advice has not caught up. Whether you need a visa on top of it is a separate question decided by your passport, and many nationalities do not. We check both.
