Five days at Rove Downtown with At The Top tickets, a desert safari, a dhow dinner cruise, Dubai Frame entry and a half-day old-city tour. Rove Downtown is a contemporary three-star in the Downtown district, and the trade is a deliberate one: you give up resort facilities and get the location, at a price well below the five-stars a few hundred metres away. For a trip built around seeing the city rather than sitting by a pool, that is usually the better deal. Walking distance covers Dubai Mall, the Burj Khalifa and the fountain. Burj Khalifa/Dubai Mall metro station puts the rest of the Red Line within reach, which matters because this package leans on getting around: the half-day city tour covers the Gold Souk and the Spice Souk in the old creek district, a very different city from the one outside the hotel. Our representative meets you at Dubai International Airport and takes you by shared transfer to Rove Downtown. After check-in, Dubai Mall is within walking distance - browse its stores and watch the Dubai Fountain show outside, free, against the Burj Khalifa. Dinner is at your own cost at one of the mall's restaurants.

Day 2
Dubai city tour and Burj Khalifa
Breakfast includedAfter breakfast, a half-day city tour takes you through the Al Fahidi (Bastakiya) Quarter, with its wind-tower architecture, then across Dubai Creek by traditional abra to the Gold Souk and Spice Souk. In the afternoon, ascend to At The Top, Level 124, for views across Dubai.

Desert safari with barbecue dinner
Breakfast and dinner includedThe morning is free - the hotel pool, or Downtown on foot. In the afternoon you're collected for the desert: dune driving in a 4x4, sandboarding and a camel ride as the sun sets, then a Bedouin-style camp for henna painting and Arabic costume photos, with Tanoura and belly dancing performances and a barbecue dinner.
