Package Overview

Seven days in Bali with a guide throughout, all entrance fees included and a traditional Balinese dinner - temples, rice terraces, beaches and markets across the island. Bali rewards being driven. The island is roughly 150 kilometres across but the roads are slow, and the distance between the cultural interior and the coast is the whole point of a week here rather than a long weekend. This package includes a professional guide and all ground arrangements, so the days are spent at the places rather than working out how to reach them. The itinerary covers the island's two characters. Inland is the temple and terrace country - the carved stone temples Bali is known for, and the tiered rice fields that are still farmed by the subak irrigation system, a cooperative water-sharing practice recognised by UNESCO. The coast is the other half: beaches, and the markets and craft villages between them. Entrance fees to everything on the itinerary are included, which matters in Bali more than most places - the temples and sites each charge separately and the small amounts add up across a week. Accommodation is four-star with daily breakfast, airport transfers are included, and the guide speaks English and Indonesian. International flights, insurance and alcohol are not included. It suits first-time visitors who want the island covered properly in one trip.
