A New Zealand Visitor Visa is for holidays, family visits and study of up to three months; it does not permit work, and Immigration New Zealand decides whether you get a single or multiple-entry visa. A multiple-entry visa allows six months in any twelve, capped at nine months in any eighteen. Some nationalities travel on an NZeTA instead and skip the visa entirely. Immigration New Zealand publishes its own advice on this and we repeat it: do not book non-refundable travel until the visa is approved.

Documents you'll usually need
- Passport valid for at least 6 months with blank pages
- UAE residence visa copy (valid at least 3 months)
- Emirates ID copy (front and back)
- Recent passport-size photographs to embassy specification
- Bank statements for the last 3-6 months
- Employment contract or NOC letter from your employer
- Confirmed flight and hotel reservations
- Travel medical insurance for the trip duration
