India issues tourist e-Visas in three lengths — 30 days, one year and five years — all multiple entry, with the one- and five-year versions capped at 180 days of stay per calendar year and the 30-day version non-extendable. The portal asks you to apply at least four days before you fly, and eligibility for the e-Visa route depends on your passport nationality rather than your UAE residency. We check which route applies to your passport, and prepare the application so it is not returned for a document reupload.

Documents you'll usually need
- Passport valid for at least 6 months with blank pages
- UAE residence visa copy (valid at least 3 months)
- Emirates ID copy (front and back)
- Recent passport-size photographs to embassy specification
- Bank statements for the last 3-6 months
- Employment contract or NOC letter from your employer
- Confirmed flight and hotel reservations
- Travel medical insurance for the trip duration
