"How much does a Dubai trip actually cost?" is the first question almost every traveller asks us — and the hardest one to find an honest answer to online. Most articles quote a vague "$1,500 for a week" and move on.
So we did something different. Below are the real, current, per-person prices from our own Dubai package range — 25 packages spanning AED 1,199 to AED 27,999 — grouped by the kind of trip you actually want. No invented averages, no bait pricing.
The short answer: Dubai costs whatever you decide it costs
Dubai has an unusually wide price floor and ceiling. The same four nights can cost AED 1,199 or AED 27,999 per person depending on one variable above all others: where you sleep. Flights, food and attractions vary far less.

This tier is genuinely liveable in Dubai, which surprises people. The metro is excellent, the beaches are free, and a lot of the city's best walking — Al Fahidi, the creek, the souks — costs nothing.

How much money do you need for a 5-day Dubai tour?
Working from the packages above, a realistic all-in budget for five days looks roughly like this, per person:
- Budget trip: AED 1,200 – 1,800 package + AED 600 – 900 spending = about AED 1,800 – 2,700
- Mid-range trip: AED 3,200 – 5,500 package + AED 1,200 – 2,000 spending = about AED 4,400 – 7,500
- Luxury trip: AED 12,500+ package + AED 3,000 or more spending
Add international flights on top, which depend entirely on where you are flying from.
What actually drives the cost up
1. Your travel dates
Dubai's peak runs roughly November to March, when the weather is close to perfect. July and August are the cheapest months by a wide margin — hotels that are AED 900 a night in January can be AED 300 in August. If your budget is tight and you can tolerate heat, summer is the single biggest saving available to you.
2. Where you stay
A Downtown or Palm Jumeirah address carries a real premium. Deira, Bur Dubai and Al Barsha give you the same city for meaningfully less, and the metro closes the distance.
3. Attractions
Burj Khalifa, the theme parks, desert safaris and aquariums add up faster than anything except the hotel. Booking these inside a package is usually cheaper than at the gate — and it protects you from sold-out slots at peak times.
4. Your visa

Five ways to bring the cost down
- Travel in summer. The saving is large enough to upgrade your hotel tier entirely.
- Use the metro. It reaches most of what you came to see, and taxis add up quickly.
- Bundle your attractions. Gate prices are the most expensive way to see Dubai.
- Eat where residents eat. Karama, Deira and Al Rigga serve excellent food at a fraction of Marina prices.
- Spread the payment. Our instalment payment plans let you book at today's price and pay over time, which matters when peak-season rates are climbing.

Is Dubai expensive to visit?
It can be, but it does not have to be. Dubai has a genuinely wide price range — our own packages start at AED 1,199 per person and reach AED 27,999. Accommodation choice drives the difference far more than food or transport.
What is the cheapest month to visit Dubai?
July and August. Daytime heat is severe, but hotel rates fall sharply and most attractions, malls and indoor parks are fully air-conditioned.
How much does a family trip to Dubai cost?
Our family packages run from AED 4,499 to AED 10,299 per person. Theme park tickets are usually the largest variable, so a bundled family package tends to work out cheaper than booking attractions separately.
Do these prices include flights?
Not unless the individual package says so. The prices above cover accommodation, transfers and the listed inclusions. We book flights separately so you are not paying a marked-up airfare.
