Group Tours from Dubai: What's Included and What to Expect

An escorted group tour is hotels, a coach, a guide and most breakfasts in one price, with flights and visas on top. Here is exactly what is in ours, what it costs, and who it suits.

The short answer: on our group tours one price covers your hotels, a coach with a driver, a guide from start to finish, every breakfast and some dinners. Flights from Dubai are not in that price and neither are visas, but we book both for you. Tours run 6 to 26 days and start at AED 4,570 per person; Europe starts at AED 5,490. If you are travelling alone you can have your own room for a supplement. Last checked 21 October 2026.

We sell 95 escorted tours, 73 of which take in at least one European country, and the single question we are asked most is some version of "what do I actually get for that price?" This page answers it line by line, using the real inclusions from our tour pages rather than a generic list. If you would rather browse first, every departure is on group tours.

What the price includes

This is the inclusion list from a typical tour, Taste of Italy, seven days at AED 6,175. Every tour page carries its own list, but the shape is the same:

  • Hotels for every night of the tour, mostly three and four star, in twin rooms with a private bathroom.
  • A room to yourself if you want one, for a single supplement, subject to availability.
  • Breakfast every morning, plus some dinners. On that Italy tour it is six breakfasts and three dinners, with a vegetarian option at any meal if you ask.
  • A modern coach with air conditioning, reclining seats and a toilet, for the whole route.
  • Public transport the tour uses, so metro or ferry tickets on touring days are covered. Free days are your own.
  • A guide from start to finish, not just a local guide who appears for an afternoon.

What the price does not include

Two exclusions matter more than the rest, and we would rather you read them here than discover them later.

Flights. The price is for the tour on the ground, from the first hotel to the last. Getting to the start city and home from the end city is separate. We book those flights from Dubai, Abu Dhabi or Sharjah for you, as part of the same booking, so it is one conversation and one invoice rather than two. Quoting them separately is also how you end up paying less: on a seven-day Italy tour the difference between a Tuesday and a Saturday departure out of Dubai can be a few hundred dirhams, and we can move you to the cheaper one if your dates are flexible.

Visas. Not included, and the fee depends on your passport, not on the tour. A Schengen application through us starts at AED 940; Japan is from AED 295. Start the visa before you book flights, not after, and read how to apply for a Schengen visa from Dubai if Europe is the plan.

Also outside the price: travel insurance, lunches, entrance tickets to sights you visit in free time, tips and anything personal. Schengen applications require insurance anyway, so you are buying it regardless. See Schengen travel insurance from the UAE.

Who a group tour actually suits

It is worth being honest that this format is not for everyone.

It suits you if you want to see several countries without planning any of it, you would rather not drive in a country you do not know, you are travelling alone and would rather not eat dinner alone every night, or it is your first trip to Europe and the logistics are the part putting you off. Multi-country routes are where a coach tour is genuinely hard to beat: our Europe Taster covers eight countries in seven days from AED 7,510, and arranging that yourself means six train bookings and seven hotels.

It suits you less if you want long unplanned days in one city, you are travelling with small children who will not sit on a coach for a few hours, or you want to choose every hotel and restaurant yourself. For those, a holiday package that puts you in one place is the better buy.

If you are travelling on your own

A good share of the people on any departure are. Twin rooms are the standard, which means you either share with another solo traveller of the same sex or pay a single supplement for a room of your own. The supplement is on each tour page and depends on the hotels, and it is subject to availability, so ask early rather than at the end. Everything else is the same as for anyone else: the coach, the guide and the group are yours too. Women who would prefer an all-women group can look at ladies-only trips instead, and our guide to women-only tours from Dubai explains how those work.

What different budgets buy

Budget per personWhat that gets youExample
Under AED 6,000A week, or a low-season longer tripKruger safari and the Panorama Route, 6 days, AED 4,570; Ireland in low season, 7 days, AED 5,490
AED 6,000 to 8,000Multi-country Europe in a week to ten daysTaste of Eastern Europe, 5 countries in 7 days, AED 5,900; Great Britain, 7 days, AED 6,865
AED 10,000 to 14,000Two weeks, or a long-haul tourEgypt and Jordan, 15 days, AED 9,530; Highlights of Japan, 13 days, AED 13,570
Above AED 18,000Three weeks, or Africa with Victoria FallsSouth Africa with Victoria Falls, 17 days, AED 18,115

Add flights to each of those. From the UAE, reckon on roughly AED 1,500 to 3,000 return to Europe depending on the month and the city, and more for Japan or South America. We quote the real fare for your dates when you enquire, so you are not working from an average.

How booking works

Pick a tour, pick a departure date, and send the enquiry from the booking section on that tour's page. We check the seats are genuinely available with the operator, confirm the price for your dates, and quote your flights at the same time. Nothing is charged until we have confirmed those seats. After that we take payment and start on the visa if you need one.

A few tours are sold out on every remaining date, and those pages say so and take your details for the next release rather than pretending otherwise. Three of the 95 are in that position today.

Frequently asked questions

Are flights included in your group tours?

No. The tour price covers the trip on the ground. We book flights from Dubai, Abu Dhabi or Sharjah separately in the same booking, and quote the real fare for your dates.

How big is the group?

It varies by departure and by season. These are coach tours rather than private trips, so expect a full coach in summer and a smaller group in low season. We can tell you the numbers on your specific date when you enquire.

Can I join a group tour on my own?

Yes, and many do. You either share a twin room with another solo traveller or pay a single supplement for your own room.

Do you handle the visa?

Yes, through our visa services, though the fee is not in the tour price. Schengen applications start at AED 940. Apply before you commit to flights.

What is the cheapest group tour from Dubai?

Kruger Safari and the Panorama Route in South Africa, six days from AED 4,570 per person. The cheapest Europe tour is Ireland in low season, seven days from AED 5,490.

Are meals included?

Breakfast every morning and a number of dinners, which the tour page states exactly. Lunches are yours, which also means you can eat where you like.
