The short answer: the cheapest honeymoon worth taking from Dubai is Bali at AED 4,875 for four nights. Georgia is AED 6,000 for six nights and the Maldives AED 6,250 for three, which is the one that surprises people: the Maldives is a four-hour flight and the dearest per night. AED 11,500 buys nine nights in Japan. Every price is for the stay, so flights are quoted on top. A honeymoon in Dubai itself starts at AED 22,500, because that price is buying hotels like Atlantis rather than a flight somewhere cheaper. Last checked 21 October 2026.

Honeymoon pages tend to be written as if money were no object. This one is the opposite: every price below is the current price of a real package on our site, and we have said plainly which destinations we think are worth the money and which are not. Everything is on holiday packages if you would rather browse.

Maldives: the shortest trip, and the dearest per night

A three-night Maldives package is AED 6,250, which makes it the most expensive night on this page by a wide margin, and it is still the trip we book most for honeymooners. What you are paying for is geography. It is a four-hour flight, so you leave Dubai in the morning and are on the island by early afternoon rather than losing a day of a short trip to travel. For most nationalities resident in the UAE the Maldives issues a visa on arrival at no cost, which takes the usual visa anxiety out of the planning entirely. Our Maldives package carries a free-visa note for that reason; check your own passport against our Maldives visa guide for UAE residents.

What to know before you book: three nights is genuinely enough in the Maldives and four or five is better, but the cost is almost all in the resort and the seaplane or speedboat transfer, so the jump from three nights to five is steeper than it would be elsewhere. The resort matters more than the island, and the transfer type matters more than either. Ask us which transfer your resort uses before you commit, because a seaplane only flies in daylight and can add a night at the airport end. Best months are roughly December to April; see the best time to visit the Maldives.

Bali: the cheapest honeymoon that still feels like one

Bali at AED 4,875 for four nights is the lowest-priced package on this list, and unlike most cheap options it does not feel like a compromise, because Bali's money goes further than the Maldives'. You get a villa rather than a room, a driver for the day costs very little, and there is something to do beyond the hotel, which matters if nine days of pure beach is not your idea of a honeymoon. The six-night version at AED 6,000 is the better buy if you can take the days: the flight is nine hours each way and four nights is a lot of travel for a short stay.

The honest caveat is the flight. There is no quick way to Bali from Dubai and the time difference will cost you the first morning. Indonesia's visa for UAE residents runs from AED 375 through us. Our Bali itinerary from Dubai and best time to visit Bali cover the rest; aim for May to September if you can choose.

Georgia: the one people do not think of

Six nights in Georgia for AED 6,000 is the quiet recommendation on this list. Three hours from Dubai, green mountains, a wine region that predates most of Europe's, and prices on the ground that will surprise you after the UAE: dinner for two with wine in Tbilisi costs less than two coffees in DIFC. For couples who would rather walk and eat than lie on a beach, it beats everything else here on value. It suits spring and autumn best, and winter means snow in the Caucasus if that appeals.

Visas through us start at AED 420 and the destination page is Georgia packages. Our Georgia trip from Dubai guide goes into the itinerary in detail.

Japan: for the honeymoon you plan once

Nine nights at AED 11,500 is roughly double the Bali price, and it is the right choice for a specific kind of couple: the ones who would rather spend the budget on a trip they will talk about for twenty years than on a nicer room. Japan is not a lying-down honeymoon. It is trains, cities, temples and a great deal of walking, and it is better for it. Visas from AED 295, and the months to aim for are late March to early April for the blossom or late November for the maples, both of which are also the expensive months. See our Japan itinerary from Dubai.

A honeymoon in Dubai: who it is actually for

Our Dubai honeymoon packages start at AED 22,500 for five nights, and we should explain why a trip with no flight costs four times a trip with one. The price is buying the hotel, and the hotels on these packages are at the top of the market. The Atlantis The Palm package runs AED 15,625 for five nights and the Armani is AED 18,750, which is the real comparison: you are paying resort rates, not travel costs.

It makes sense for couples flying in from India, Pakistan or Africa for whom Dubai is the destination, and for UAE residents who cannot take enough leave to fly anywhere. If you live here and have a week, almost any destination above is better value. We have written the longer version of this argument in is Dubai good for a honeymoon?, and it does not always say yes.

What about flights?

None of the package prices include them, and we would rather say so here than in the small print. Every package is priced on the ground, and we quote flights from Dubai, Abu Dhabi or Sharjah for your exact dates alongside the package, in one quote. As a rough guide, reckon on AED 1,000 to 1,800 return per person for the Maldives or Georgia and AED 1,800 to 3,000 for Bali or Japan, depending on the month. Searching for "honeymoon packages from Dubai including flight" will mostly turn up prices that quietly assume the cheapest possible date; ask for your own dates instead.

Picking between them

  • Shortest leave, least hassle: the Maldives at AED 6,250. Four hours, visa on arrival, on the beach the same day, and you pay for that convenience.
  • Smallest budget: Bali at AED 4,875, or Georgia at AED 6,000 if you would rather not fly nine hours.
  • Best value per dirham: Georgia, by a distance, if beaches are not the point.
  • A trip you will remember for decades: Japan.
  • No leave available at all: Dubai, with clear eyes about what the price is buying.

Frequently asked questions

What is the cheapest honeymoon package from Dubai?

Bali at AED 4,875 per person for four nights. Georgia is AED 6,000 for six nights, which is better value per night than anything else here. Flights are quoted on top.

Do your honeymoon packages include flights?

No. Packages are priced for the stay, and we quote flights from the UAE for your dates in the same conversation, so you get one total rather than two.

Is the Maldives or Bali better for a honeymoon from the UAE?

The Maldives if you have a short trip and want a beach, because it is four hours away rather than nine. Bali if your budget is tight or you want more to do than the resort: AED 4,875 against AED 6,250, for more nights.

How much should we budget in total?

For six nights in Georgia, around AED 15,000 to 16,500 for two including flights and visas. Three nights in the Maldives comes to about AED 15,000 to 17,000 for two, because the package is dearer even though the flight is cheaper. Bali is around AED 14,000 to 16,500, and Japan roughly AED 28,000 to 30,000.

When should we book?

Eight to twelve weeks ahead for the Maldives or Bali in high season, because the resorts fill before the flights do. Visas should be started as soon as the dates are fixed.

Can you arrange anything special at the hotel?

We pass on honeymoon requests such as a room upgrade, flowers or a cake, and hotels usually oblige, but none of it is guaranteed and we will not promise it as part of the package. Tell us you are on honeymoon when you book and we will ask.
